The profit a company earns every month depends on the amount of product sold, p, for $855 each and the amount spent in rent, utilities, and other expenses, which always totals to $6,780. The CEO of the company earns 15% of this profit. How much does the CEO earn if the company sells 250 products in a given month?

So the formula here is y = 885p - 6780.

So let's plug in 250.
y = 885(250) - 6780
y = 221250 - 6780
y = 214470

15% of 214470 = 32170.5

Answer:

$31045.5

Explanation:

In order to calculate this, we just have to take into consideration, the number of products sold, the price of the products, and the operational cost.

The formula for calculating that would be:

Profit=(Price)(products sold)-Operational cost

Profit=(855)(250)-(6780)\\Profit= 213750-6780\\Profit=206970

Now from the total profit we jut have to take out the percentage for the CEO doing a simple rule of thirds:

(15)/(100) =(x)/(206970)

x=(206970*15)/(100)\\ x=$31045.5

The percentage that the CEO will gain when they sell 250 pieces will be $31,045.5 dollars.
