A company uses a computer program to create coupon codes for customers to use on its website. The codes are made up from the symbols !, #, &, *, as well as any letter from the alphabet.

What is the probability the first character is a symbol?

Total number of possible outcomes= 4 symbols + 26 letters =30 outcomes

Event is getting a symbole.

P(symbole) = 4/30 =0.13
