CHECK MY ANSWER (LORD OF FLIES BOOK)

Why does Roger sharpen a stick at both ends for the second time?

He is going to use it to roast meat.

It is to hold a tribal flag.

They are building permanent shelters.

He is going to put Ralph's head on it after they kill him.

I think it's D

Either A or D, what part of the book is this? It's been a while since I've read it

You´re correct the option D is the one.

During chapter 12 when Ralph is hiding from the rest of the Jack´s tribe enter into a hushed conversation with Samneric and he is the one that tells him that Roger had sharpened a stick at both ends, one to put it into the ground and the other to place Rlaph´s head into. Ralph would get the same treatment as the pig they sacrifice to the "beast" that the group of Jack feared.
