times 2nd equation by 2 and add to first

8x+2y=4
-8x+6y=-20 +
0x+8y=-16

8y=-16
divide both sides by 8
y=-2

sub back

8x+2y=4
8x+2(-2)=4
8x-4=4
add 4 to both sies
8x=8
divide both sides by 8
x=1

x=1
y=-2

(1,-2)

D is answer
