Answer: Option C, 13

Step-by-step explanation:

Two possible factors of -48 are -16 ,3 or -3, 16

And difference is greater number minus smaller number we will get as below

3-(-16) = 19 or 16-(-3) = 19

Case 1: two factors are -16 and 3

sum of factors = -16 +3 = -13

Now, we take absolute value of sum of factors |-13| = 13

Case 2: two factors are 16 and -3

sum of factors = 16 -3 = 13

Now, we take absolute value of sum of factors |13| = 13

so, C is the correct option

===>Factors of −48 with smaller absolute value negative:
smaller factor larger factor difference
-1 48 49
-2 24 26
-3 16 19

Add: -3 + 16 = 13
Therefore, the answer to this item is letter c.13.
