this is what I found
Randy should know the "zeros" of the polynomial function for sketching the graph of it (where the graph intersects with the x an y-axises, if it does). Also, he needs to know the vertical and horizontal stretches/shrinks for that. Finally, he should know the basic function of the polynomial function such as x^2, 1/x and etc.
