So first, convert 4 ft. 10 in. into feet.
The equation is 4(12)+10 since there are 12 inches in a foot.
This would get you 58 inches.
Now his brother is 68 inches so subtract.
68-58=10.
Answer: Darin's brother is 10 inches taller than Darin.
