Fraction can't be reduced (simplified) any further - irreducible.
5/6 = 0.833333333333;
:: Result written as ::
a proper fraction: 5/6
and a decimal number: 0.833333333333

Explanations below.

To reduce a fraction, divide both its numerator and denominator by their greatest common factor, GCF.
Step 1. Calculate the greatest (highest) common factor (divisor).

Integer numbers prime factorization:
5 is a prime number, it cannot be prime factorized;
6 = 2 * 3;
Take all the common prime factors, by the lowest powers.
But the two numbers have no common prime factors.
Greatest (highest) common factor (divisor), gcf, gcd:
gcf, gcd (5; 6) = 1;
coprime numbers (relatively prime);

Fraction's numerator and denominator are coprime numbers (no common prime factors). Fraction cannot be reduced (simplified) - irreducible.
Step 2: Rewrite the end result:

5 : 6 = 0.833333333333 as a decimal number.

Final answer
:: written in two ways ::
As a proper fraction:
5/6 = 5/6
As a decimal number:
5/6 = 0.833333333333

5 don't have lowest term only the 6 and it's 2 but if a number like 5 doesn't change so 6 doesn't change if not then divide 5 to 6.
