All you really have to do is use the 8/8 fraction as one, then use addition to get 3/8+5/8. And for the last one just add or choose any numbers with the same denominator and have the numerators add up to the denominator.

A sum means adding, so we will just pick three different ways to add to 1.
1.
1/8 + 7/8 = 1
2.
3/8 + 5/8 = 1
3.
4/8 + 4/8 = 1
