Carola is putting a border around the edge of a rectangular bulletin board. One side of the bulletin board measures 2 feet and another side measures 4 feet. Is 10 feet of border enough? Explain

no. you need to find perimeter for this. If the bulletin board has 2 sides of 2 and 2 sides of 4, you add all of em up and get 12. 10 is not greater than 12.

10 feet is not enough. If it's a rectangle it has two sets of parallel sides. That means two sides are 2 feet and two sides are 4 feet. Add all the sides together (2 + 2 + 4 + 4) and you get 12 feet. 10 feet would not be enough for a 12 foot border.
