If I got well it's

(m)/(4)+6 = 3

(m+24)/(4) = (12)/(4) (then multiply for 4 both fractions, to remove the denominator)

m+24 = 12

m = 12-24

m = -12

When you are asked to find the answer of an equation with a variable, you just need to isolate the variable, which is m in this case. First, you need to subtract 6 from both sides to get m/4=-3. The, you need to multiply both sides by 4 to get m=-12 which is the final answer.
