Environmental consequences of genetic engineering can be very damaging. It has been proven that genetically engineered crops threaten monarch butterflies. Also, too much crop alteration removes the sole purpose of natural farming. The taste of natural, unaltered crops is much different from genetically modified crops. The altered crops do not have the same combination of nutrients, minerals, and vitamins.
It is causing also farmers to turn to tracter-driving.
