Velocity in the direction of crossing the river = 3mph
Velocity in the backward direction = 2mph
Net velocity in forward direction = (3-2)= 1mph
Distance = 6 miles
t = ?
Velocity = Displacement/Time
1 = 6/t
t = 1/6 hr
t = (1/6)×60 min
time = 10 minutes
Hope this helps you!
