Since a golden rectangle is what the artist tend to achieve, we have to know the golden ratio in order to answer this.

A golden rectangle has a length = 1.62 its width.

Hence, its length = 1.62 (24) = 38.88

So, the length of the golden rectangle is 39 rounded to the nearest inches.
