Technology has changed the way we function as a society entirely. Technology isn't just the internet. It goes so far beyond that. Technology has revolutionized society.
To begin I'll describe the good things about technology. It allows for information to be transmitted almost instantly across the globe. People no longer have to exclusively use paper mail or telephone to communicate with others far from them. They can send messages and call people from their cellphones anywhere. Technology doesn't stop at making communication easier and more accessible. People can put money on a credit card so they don't have to carry cash everywhere. Technology also helps navigation. People can use a GPS instead of a map. Technology can even be used in agriculture as farming equipment can run independently. Those are just a few of the benefits.
Now for the negatives. With every good thing there are also bad things. Technology is no exception to this. Security is a big problem in tech. While it is always being improved, it will never be perfect. Things can be stolen such as your credit card info without you even knowing. People have chip readers they can use to steal it. Online things such as your bank account can be hacked. This isn't exclusive to money. People can breach social media and pose as a person giving them a bad reputation. There is also the risk of people becoming too dependent on technology and it failing. This would cause some people to be lost.
In conclusion technology has many pros and many cons. Some people don't like technology and some do. Ultimately it is up to the person.
