What are the Positive aspects of Factories as workplaces instead of farms?

What are the Negative aspects of Factories as workplaces instead of farms?

Positive aspects would be you can get things done faster. Everything would be perfect and there would be more jobs.

Negative aspects would the earth would be slowly dying. You wouldn't be able to get a lot of things done. You'd have to make everything by hand.
