when i used my cup i know it dosent have a point but it is something to work with when i tiped it up side down and imagined a point i imagined it being cut up to down that got me a triangle when you dont you will get a trapezoid because it has no point but a cone will have one not a cup when you add a point to the trapezoid it will become a triangle either way you will end up with a triangle if you cut it the right way so it dosent matter how you will during the process.
