The desert can be a harsh environment, with extreme heat during the day and cold during the night. Also, there is very little rainfall, or water in general, in a desert environment. Knowing this, what adaptation would best help a desert animal? A) The ability to burrow underground. B) A large tail used to maintain balance. C) Webbed feet to swim faster and more easily. D) A thick coat to help it blend in with surroundings.

A, because of the harsh weather and extreme heat, the ablility to burrow underground is helpful for the shade and protection from the sun and also other animals. Hope this helps!
