8A. Total is $18 and 8 books were bought, so it would make sense to divide them! 18/8 = $2.25 per comic book.

8B. Since we know that each comic book is $2.25, we can divide those numbers to get # of books. 27/2.25 = 12, so he can buy 12 books with $27.
