So as far as Verbal Irony and Sarcasm goes. Lets say my friend and I are talking while playing a video game and I say "I hope this does not take to long" and then whatever it is in the game takes 45mins real time... Is that situational irony or verbal irony?

I would say situational irony since you expect one thing the opposite happened.
