Ls a cone a polyhedron?

I don't think it is but however a cylinder is not a polyhedron for several reasons:it's lateral surface is not a plane,it's bases are not polygons,finally it has no vertex. No faces,no edges.no vertices

Explanation:

A solid having flat faces is called Polyhedrons,

In other words, a solid with no curved side is called Polyhedrons,

Example : Cube, prism or pyramid etc...

Also, each faces of the polyhedron is a polygon,

Now, a cone is a solid that has a circular base joined to point by a curved side.

But by the above definition,

There is no curved side in a polyhedron,

Therefore, cone is not an example of polyhedron.
