Amy Wu experienced the feeling of being neglected in a Chinese restaurant just because she is an American-born Chinese who doesn’t speak Cantonese. In her story, it was not only her that experiences it, but there were a lot of American-born Chinese treated the same as her in Chinese restaurants.
