We have the expression:

(35.86\cdot a)/(2.2\cdot b)

Since we want to convert the dividedn and divisior in whole numbers, we need to remove the decimal part of the numbers. We can remove the decimal part by multiplicating by a multiple of 10, for example for 35.86 would be 100, and for 2.2 would be 10:

(35.86\cdot100)/(2.2\cdot10)=(3586)/(22)

What is the quotient of 35.86/2.2?

\begin{gathered} (3586)/(22)=163 \\ \text{Then,} \\ (35.86)/(2.2)=16.3 \end{gathered}
