Well, first you have to find the unit rate: 3 divided by 4 is 0.75. Now you have to find the toral number of eggs: 0.75 times 24(hens) equals 18 eggs. So Tyler has to pick up, on average, 18 eggs per day!

18 eggs are laid because 3 eggs are laid for every 4 hens and since there are 24 hens there for you should divide 24 by 4 and youll get 6 and then you multiply 6 by 3 and you get 18.
