Janice is trying to earn $30 to buy a necklace. She has saved $5.25. She earns $2.25 per hour weeding her grandmother's garden and she earns $5.50 per hour selling seashells at the flea market. Will Janice have enough to buy the necklace if she works in the garden for 2 hours and at the flea market for 4 hours? Use the inequality 2.25y + 5.50z + 5.25 ≥ 30.

1.Yes, because the total will be $26.50.

2.Yes, because the total will be $31.75.

2.25y + 5.50z + 5.25 ≥ 30

Plug in how many hours she has to work.

2.25(2) + 5.50(4) + 5.25

Add.
4.50 + 22 + 5.25

= 31.75

31.75 is greater than 30

31.75 > 30

Ans: 2.Yes, because the total will be $31.75.

2.because
5.50x4=22
2.25x2=4.50
that will equal 26.50 but when you add the money she already had saved up which is 5.25
you will get 31.75
