A pizza is cut into 6 equal slices. Find the area of one slice if the pizza has a diameter of 12.

A=pi x radius

since diameter is 12, radius is half of that=6

the entire pie has an area of 6 x 6 x 3.14 = 113.04

divide by 6 since there are six pieces =18.84
