Your teacher gives you an assignment to create a video on 1950s Cold War events. You decide you want to include a collage of Cold War-era propaganda. Considering the purpose of most propaganda, what should you most be wary of in this footage?

the viewpoints of Soviet and US propaganda
the main idea from US news reports
the bias present in propaganda materials
the decay of 1950s Cold War film

The bias present in propaganda- the purpose of propaganda is to convince your side that you are right. But that means it will be biased by definition.

Hope that helps

Answer:

Political propaganda means disseminating biased information to promote a specific point of view. Propaganda was widespread throughout the cold war when both US and USSR demonised each other It reached its height during 1950s and 1960s. US and USSR both used television, film and music to promote national values. It was carried out with subtlety in the material produced by governments. Both the countries tried to show the advantages their citizens had to those who lived in other country. So while creating the collage we must be aware of the bias present in the images produced during cold war.
