The diameter of Jim’s circular flower bed is 10 feet. What is the area, in square feet, of Jim’s flower bed?

A) 10π
B) 20π
C) 25π
D) 100π
- My Guess is D, but then again, I'm not very good at Remembering the Formula for finding the Area or Circumference of a Circle.

The area of a circle is PiR^2
Divide 10 by 2, to get the radius.
Square the radius, 5, which gives you 25.
25Pi is your answer, which is C.)

Answer:

Option C is correct.

Explanation:

We have been given the diameter of circular flower bed.

Radius=(diameter)/(2)

Radius=(10)/(2)=5

Area of circle is
\pi\cdot r^2 where r is the radius of circle.

So, we will substitute values in the area of circle to calculate the value of area of circular flower bed.

Area=\pi 5^2

\Rightarrow Area=25\pi

Therefore, option C is correct.
