Any additional information on the line? At this point it wouldn't seem to be a function. Just y=5x or y=x-8 I mean those are both functions if you follow y=mx+b

Answer:

The line cuts x axis at negative two and the y axis at negative ten means the line passes through (-2,0) and (0,-10).

Equation of line in intercept form will be

\rightarrow (x)/(a)+(y)/(b)=1\\\\\rightarrow (x)/(-2)+(y)/(-10)=1\\\\ \rightarrow 5x+y=-10\\\\\rightarrow 5x+y+10=0

So, the function is a linear function.
