orthern /// New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Conneticutt - - - colder, rockier soil, founded by Puritans, more self sufficient than the other colonies, diverse industry & agriculture plus ship building and fishing & whaling...

Middle //// New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania - - - the most diverse and popuklous region, New York City & Philladelphia the most populous cities in the Colonies // // hubs of industry as well as agriculturally diverse, the most tolerant of a variety of religions //

South // Maryland and Delaware straddled the border but both love to remind everyone they are Southern ('eh can't ya see who we hang on trees), Virginia, North and South Carolina, and Georgia // // // largely undeveloped, possibly infected by malarial mosquitos they fail to industrialize become dependent on slave labor to do a poor job of managing large plantations mostly growing cancerous tobacco, also rice & indigo. North Carolina was a Naval Storehouse, with Pine trees yielding sap that was turned into turpentine and other products, and South Carolina's Charlestown was an important Seaport..... Also the Carolinas were Cattle & Pig country, America's first Cowboys and Porker
