divide 4 and 35 which =8.75 then to check your answer multiply 8.75 x 4=35 and five roller coasters is 35 so every entry is 1.75 because i divided 5 and 8.75 which gives me 1.75 then times it by five and it gives you 8.75 and every roller coaster you go on is 8.75

The cost consists of a fee and a per ride cost so it will look like:

c=f+pr where p is the price per ride and r is the number of times ridden...

35=f+5p and 59=f+11p solve both for f...and set f=f

35-5p=59-11p

35+6p=59

6p=24

p=4 so the price per ride is $4.00, now we can use either original equation to solve for the fee...

35=f+5(4)

35=f+20

f=15 so the cost function is:

c(r)=4r+15 where r is the number of rides taken.

Entry fee=$15.00

One Roller Coaster Ride=$4.00
