Fiona needs $62 to go on a field trip. She has saved $10.50. She earns $6.50 per hour cleaning her neighbor's garden, and she earns $5.25 per hour selling cakes at a store. Can Fiona go on the field trip if she works at the garden for 6 hours and at the store for 2 hours? (Use the inequality 6.50x + 5.25y + 10.50 ≥ 62.) plz help!!

Answer:

No she is 2 dollars short

Explanation:

you are doing 6.50 x 6 because she worked in her neighbors garden for 6 hours and made 6.50 an hour. Which would give you $39 even. Then you are doing 5.25 x 2 because she worked at the store for 2 hours. That would give you 10.50. so you are doing 10.50 + 10.50 becauseof her savings and her money from the store. Which is $21 even. Than you are adding the $39 from the gardening and the $21 from the store and her savings. That gives you $60. Fiona needed $62 to go on the field trip. She only has $60 so she is not able to go. Hope this Helps
