y=mx+b, where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept, we are told m=-1/2 so

y=-x/2+b, using point (-6,2) we can solve for b

2=-(-6)/2+b

2=3+b

b=-1 so the line is:

y=-x/2-1 or more neatly:

y=(-x-2)/2
