This is a ratio so we can simply set up a relation to find the unknown dimension...
If 3:20=h:l we can say:
3/20=h/l and we are told l=40 so:
3/20=h/40 multiply both sides by 40
120/20=h do indicated division
h=6 ft
So the wall is 6 feet high.
