Final answer:

Advice for students who haven't experienced a peer review of their writing

Step-by-step explanation:

When taking a course without prior experience of a peer review of their writing, here is some advice:

  1. Approach peer review with an open mind and a willingness to learn from others' perspectives.
  2. Be constructive and considerate when providing feedback to peers, focusing on specific strengths and areas for improvement.
  3. Take advantage of writing centers or seek feedback from tutors, instructors, or classmates to further enhance your writing skills.

Students taking an english course in high school, especially an AP, Pre-AP, or IB course, need to be able to be constructively criticized and open-minded. As a multiple-course AP student, I've gathered that there is also a certain skillset needed in order to write coherently and correctly, while also being organized and, like I mentioned, open-minded and open to constructive criticism.
