One major theme in Lord of The Flies is that society falls apart when people do not follow its rules.

I just read the summary. I'll choose Jack.

Jack was appointed by Ralph to become the person in charge of the boys in hunting for food for their whole group. At first, Jack followed Ralph's edicts but ultimately broke away when his desires were in direct conflict with Ralph's mandates. Jack rallied the other boys to follow him and break away from Ralph's leadership. This resulted to boys acting out barbarically that they ended up killing others in their hopes of retaining their dominance. They did not listen to reason believing themselves invincible. It was only when they were found that they ultimately dealt with the rightness and wrongness of their deeds.

Society imposed rules and regulations that everyone must follow to ensure order among its members. Disobedience will ultimately result in chaos that will affect everyone as a whole.
