What is the surface area of a cylinder if the diameter is 14 and the height is 23

to put it "simply", the Surface Area of a cylinder is : (2 x pi x radius x height) + (2 x pi x radius squared).
sigh. Complicated.
r x h = 161
161 x pi (3.14) = 505.54
505.54 x 2 = 1,011.08
first half done.
r x r = 49
49 x pi (3.14) = 153.86
153.86 x 2 = 307.72
now add those two totals together and you get ... 1,318.8
which, according to google, should actually be 1,319.47
at any rate. the formula I provided is correct and should be used in the future for finding surface area of cylinders. Good luck to you!
