Answer:

The graph in the attached figure

Explanation:

Let

x-------> the input (independent variable)

y-------> the output (dependent variable)

we know that

The equation that represent the situation is equal to

y=-(3)/(4)x +2

This is a linear equation

To graph the line find the intercepts

The y-intercept is equal to the point
(0,2) ---> value of y when the value of x is equal to zero

The x-intercept is equal to the point
(2.667,0) ---> value of x when the value of y is equal to zero

Plot the points

the graph in the attached figure

The independent variable (input) is x and that the dependent variable is equal to y such that the equation is,
y = -3x/4 + 2
We can graph this function by assigning values to x such as 0, 1, 2 then find the corresponding values of y.
x = 0 ; y = -3(0)/4 + 2 ; y = 2
x = 1 ; y = -3(1)/4 + 2 ; y = 5/4
x = 2 ; y = -3(2)/4 + 2 ; y = 0.5

Therefore, plot these points: (0,2), (1,1.25), (2,0.5) and connect to form the line.
