What is they-intercept for the
equation 8x + 3y = -24?

y=-8

Explanation:

First, rewrite the equation in slope-intercept form:


y=-(8)/(3)x-8

Now just look at the slope-intercept form and your y-intercept is -8, and your slope is
-(8)/(3) x.
