$16.00*3=$48.00
$12.80*3=$38.40
$48.00-$38.40=$9.60
$9.60 saved dollar value
$48.00=100%

Answer:

Percent discount Ann received is 20%.

Explanation:

CDs are on sale at the local music store costing $12.80 each.

Normally selling price of the CDs = $16 each.

Anna buys 3 CDs for a total of $38.40

Costing price of one CD =
(38.40)/(3)=12.8

Discount on every CD = 16 - 12.80 = $3.20

Now percentage discount on the CD =
\frac{\text{Discount}}{\text{Total cost at normal rates}}×100

=
(3.20)/(16)* 100

= 20%

Therefore, percent discount Ann received is 20%.
