We can use the Pythagorean theorum

a^2+b^2=c^2

c^2 is the length of the longest side squared

so

6^2 + b^2 = 10^2

36+ b^2 = 100
-36 -36

b^2 = 64

b = 8

b is the same thing as your "x", so x = 8

Answer:

8=x

Explanation:

From the given figure, it is given that ABC is a right angled triangle whch is right angled at B and AC=10, AB=x and BC=6.

Now, since, ABC is a right angled triangle, therefore we can apply the Pythagoras theorem on this triangle, therefore we have

(AC)^2=(AB)^+(BC)^2

Substituting the given values, we get

(10)^2=(x)^2+(6)^2

100=x^2+36

100-36=x^2

64=x^2

8=x

Therefore, the value of x is
8.
