1.4n+2=2n+3.2 Isolate the variable by itself by performing reverse operations on both side of the equatoin...
subtract 2n from both sides...
-0.6n+2=3.2 subtract 2 from both sides
-0.6n=1.2 divide both sides by -0.6
n=2

I'm pretty sure you just do basic algebra. you would subtract 2n from both sides. then its 14n-2n= 12n. then 12n + 2= 3.2 do you know what to do from there?
