Finding the y-intercept
We know that the equation of a line is given by
y = mx + b, where m and b are numbers:
m is the slope of the line and b is the y intercept.
In this case we have the equation:
6 - 2y = - 6
We clear y so we can identify m and b
6 - 2y = -6
6 = -6 + 2y
6 + 6 = 2y
12 = 2y
12/2 = y
6 = y
In this case
y = 6
Then m=0 and b = 6
Then, the y-intercept is b =6
