first find the area of the closet he wants to tile :
7×5=35
we already know he has 37 tiles, so now we can subtract to find how many tiles will be left over :
37-35= 2 tiles left over
hope this helps

7x5=35 He wil have enough. Plus since 37-35=2 he will have 2 left over.
