I think that George Washington would not approve. People are only becoming more divided, he would say. This is due to the fact that he was never fond of political parties as he felt strongly that they would tear the world apart. When he retired he shared his thoughts with everyone and those were that in the future these parties were to separate people rather bringing them together like George Washington had done. He felt like his hard work would be for nothing and the nation would be back to the beginning.
