How is the New Testament in the Holy Bible a reliable source of evidence for understanding the events in the life of Jesus of Nazareth?

Answer:

The New Testament Gospels are not a reliable historical guide to the life, work, and teachings of Jesus at least for historians. But to christians this is a very important context to their belifs and religions. So in a spiritual sense yes it is. But in a historian, no.
