Answer: $0.42

Pete can buy daffodil bulbs in packages of 3 for $8.31

OR

Pete can buy packages of 2 for $5.68

Firstly, we need to calculate the unit price to know the better price

Amount of buying one bulb of packages of 3 is

= 8.31 / 3

= $ 2.77

Amount of buying one bulb of packages of 2 is

= 5.68/2

= $ 2.84

The one with a better price is daffodil bulb with a packages of 3

If he buys 6 bulbs

The amount of selling one bulb in packages of 3 is $2.77

Buying 6 = 2.77 x 6

= $16.62

Buying 6 in packages of 2

= 2.84 x 6

= $17.04

$17.04 - $16.62 = $0.42

Therefore, Pete will be saving $0.42 when he is buying 6 bulmbs at a better price
