You want to find the GCD greatest common denominator which is going to be the product of shared primes in the two numbers prime factorization...

24=2*2*2*3 and 90=2*3*3*5

So the shared primes are 2*3 which have a product of 6. So divide both the numerator and denominator by 6 to get the simplest form....
