What is the name of the literary concept in which the formation of the word is associated with it's sound?

A simile uses Like and As.(As fast as an eagle)
A metaphor is nearly a normal word.(knuckle under)
An onomatopoeia uses sound to describe something.We have read alot of stories that contains em'.(Bam,Whoosh,Pitter-Patter,bang,splash)
The answer is onomatopoeia.
