250 yards around the rink and he already went around it 6 time so... 250 yards × 6 = 1500 yards he has skated so far.

there is 1760 yards in 1 mile

so 1760 yards × 3 = 5280 yards

he has to go a total of 5280 yards to reach 3 miles so and he has already went 1500 yards

5280 yards - 1500 yards = 3780 yards to go
